Our Lab

Dedicated to exploring how early-life experiences shape lifelong health and well-being.

Research

We currently have two studies in progress; one looks at the impact of fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) on later life outcomes, while the other study dives into the ways the microbiome may impact children with PAE.

ABOUT US

The Healthy Generations Lab is focussed on the effect of early environment on health across the lifespan and examining outcomes in early life through to older adulthood. Led by Dr. Tamara Bodnar, we connect disciplines such as neuroscience, psychology, and biological sciences to take a more comprehensive look at the topics we are studying.

TESTIMONIALS

"Working in the Healthy Generations Lab has helped me gain a wider understanding of what research looks like in the 'real world'! It also helped me find an appreciation for what happens with data after its been collected in wet labs"
